AROUND Elkhorn Campgrounds

Elkhorn invites visitors to shop unique shops and enjoy a variety of events and activities throughout the year. Band concerts in the park and parades will delight visitors. The Walworth County Fairgrounds, where the campground is located, hosts many events including, one of Wisconsin's most popular county fairs, car shows, rodeos, circus, and so much more. Just north of town, Lauderdale Lakes is the place for boating and fishing. Check out great restaurants and supper clubs when you need to recharge. Below are just some wonderful things to do on your visit.

Shuttle Buses for Alpine Valley and Country Thunder will be available through Lakefront Shuttle in Lake Geneva. Please call Lakefront Shuttle at 262-203-4769 to make your reservations.

Alpine Valley Music Theatre is an amphitheater located on County Highway D in East Troy, Wisconsin. The amphitheater has played host to many concerts and music festivals, including Dave Matthews, Jimmy Buffett, Pearl Jam, Aerosmith, and Grateful Dead. At Apple Barn you can expect to experience something special. Enjoy the beautiful landscape, sights, sounds and aroma of nature all around you. Let yourself go and escape for a little while at the Apple Barn Orchard and Winery.  Located in Elkhorn; only 10 minutes away.

Kettle Moraine is a large moraine in the state of Wisconsin, United States. It stretches from Walworth County in the south to Kewaunee County in the north. Only 40 minutes away.

Lauderdale Lakes is located in Walworth County, Wisconsin. This lake is 311 acres in size. It is approximately 55 feet deep at its deepest point. Anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish including Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye.

Country Thunder is a country music festival and lifestyle brand that hosts several festivals each year. These festivals are usually located in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin.

The new heated Sunset Pool opened this past summer and includes slides, basketball hoops, zero entry, geysers, handicapped accessibility, concessions, shade umbrellas and more! Sunset Park is Elkhorn’s premier park. It offers a wide array of recreational activities, including sand volleyball, baseball/softball fields, basketball, picnic area, sledding hills and a handicapped accessible playground. Sunset Park is located on Devendorf St., West Centralia St. and Park Ave.

The Shore Path around Geneva Lake features historic estates with beautiful property and seasonal gardens, the clear blue waters of Geneva Lake with views across the lake that inspire and invigorate. There is so much beauty, in every season, around Geneva Lake that it is impossible to see everything on your first walk around the path! The shore line of Geneva Lake is about 20 miles, but the path reaches up to almost 26 miles with it weaving in and out of the woods along the shoreline.
